Tears of God

"Tears of God" is a hip hop / rap song composed and produced by Juan Cristiani.
In 2017 the song was nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award and won a Global Music Award for best hip hop and protest song. Seeing how many injustices take place in the world on a daily basis inspired Juan to create a song which would challenge the status quo and hopefully create thought provoking controversy amongst it’s listeners. In the process of making this genre blending hip-hop track Juan discovered some hidden talent in the streets of New York collaborating with a local wordsmith Matias Ferreira and gospel vocalist, and fellow SAE classmate, Christopher Taylor Martin.

The song was mixed by producer/engineer Paul J. Falcone at Downtown Music Studios NYC. Falcone has worked with artists like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, R.E.M., and Missy Elliot. “Tears of God” was mastered by six-time Grammy Award winner James Cruz, who has worked with the likes of Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Lil Wayne and Nina Simone.

ANIMATED VIDEO

Juan and Stephano Forcella wrote and directed an animated video to accompany the song, synchronizing powerful images with the strong message. Their goal was to create an aesthetic that captured the serious tone of the track while providing glimmers of hope.
